How to upload Your Digital Photos

Follow these instructions to submit your photos to the club website.
The first thing you will need to do is arrange all the pictures in a folder, and rename it to something relevant like (vics_pics).
Then open your FTP programme. If you do not have one, then a free copy of Core FTP LE™ can be had from here or here.
Install and open the programme. The first requester box you will be asking for the Server details. Fill them in as follows. (You can click on this thumbnail to get an enlargement).
Once this is done, click on the connect box. This connects to the FTP server and show the contents in the right hand pane.
Look at the list and you should see a directory called "your_pics_in_here". Click on this to open it.
Now click on the MakeDir button and enter a relevant name for this new directory, such as "vics_pics". Then click OK.
Now open the new "vics_pics" directory.
Moving to the left hand pane for the Local Computer, click on folders until you get to the contents of the "vics_pics" directory.
This should be the pictures you wish to upload for publishing on the Clubs website.
Highlight the full list and click the upload button to start moving the files to the clubs website.
This may take some time if the pictures are large. If your are having difficulty, try uploading the files one at a time.
When you have completed uploading you can check all is well by looking at http://members.lycos.co.uk/trusted/your_pics_in_here/
Open up the folder/directory you have made (in this example "vics_pics" and check that all your pictures arrived safely.
Then let me have an email to say the pics are there and I will prepare them and publish the best ones on the Clubs Website.
